Fernão Magalhães 127 marks the closing of the “Vivian Maier - Anthology” exhibition

The “Vivian Maier - Anthology” exhibition, organised by the Portuguese Centre of Photography (CPF) in partnership with Terra Esplêndida, recently came to a close after being open to the public from 27 March to 30 August 2026.

Curated by Anne Morin, the exhibition presented a representative selection of Vivian Maier’s work, offering visitors the opportunity to discover one of the most distinctive and compelling figures in 20th-century street photography. Over several months, it attracted a highly significant number of visitors.

In total, 54,108 people, including both Portuguese and international visitors, attended the exhibition at the Portuguese Centre of Photography, a figure that reflects the strong interest generated by Maier’s work and the relevance of this cultural initiative within the city of Porto.

Fernão Magalhães 127, AVENUE’s residential development in Porto, supported the exhibition as a sponsor, reinforcing the project’s connection to the city and its cultural life. The partnership aimed to help promote and give greater visibility to initiatives that bring art and culture closer to a wide and diverse audience.

Part of the ticket proceeds was also donated to Acreditar - Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Cancer, supporting the organisation’s work with children and young people undergoing cancer treatment, as well as their families.

AVENUE would like to thank the Portuguese Centre of Photography, Terra Esplêndida and everyone who contributed to the success of the exhibition, which concluded on a highly positive note with more than 54,000 visitors.
